About

Meet Charlotte

Discover my approach to counselling, my values, and what you can expect from working together.

Hello, I'm Charlotte

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me.

My journey into counselling began through my own life-changing experience of therapy. Like many people, I have experienced times in my life that have challenged me and have shaped who I am today. Experiencing what it felt like to be truly listened to, without judgement, helped me understand the value of having a space where you can simply be yourself. It was through that experience that I discovered a passion for supporting others to feel equally heard, understood and empowered in their own journey.

While my own experiences have influenced my path into counselling, they do not define my work. Instead, they have have deepened my empathy and reinforced my belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, valued and accepted.

Today, I strive to offer the same compassionate, non-judgemental space that once helped me- a space where you can pause, reflect and begin to move towards the change that feels right for you.

My Approach

Choosing a counsellor is a deeply personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, so I aim to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted just as you are.

As an integrative counsellor, I recognise that no two people are the same. Whilst our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, I draw on a range of therapeutic models to tailor our sessions collaboratively to your individual needs, experiences and goals.

I believe that meaningful change begins with understanding. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and respect, supporting you to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can develop greater self-awareness, discover new perspectives and work towards the change that matters most to you.

A Commitment to Safe, Ethical Practice

I believe that feeling safe and understood is at the heart of effective counselling. Alongside creating a compassionate and supportive space, I am committed to maintaining high professional standards through ongoing training, reflection and development.

Over the past five years, I have worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse, supporting individuals to process trauma, rebuild trust and move towards healing. This experience has shaped my practice and strengthened my commitment to providing a safe, sensitive and trauma-informed approach for every client, whatever brings them to counselling.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your individual needs and experiences. I am a registered member of the BACP and work within its Ethical Framework, ensuring our work together is professional, confidential and centred around your wellbeing.

My Qualifications include:

  • First-Class BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship- University of Warwick
  • NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • OCN Level 3 Working with Survivors of Sexual Abuse
  • Level 2 Safeguarding Adults and Children

I am committed to continuing my professional development to ensure my practice remains ethical, informed and responsive to the people I work with.

Outside of Counselling

When I'm not in the counselling room, you'll usually find me with a good coffee in hand, out walking with my dog, Sully, or curled up at home watching some Netflix. I value time with family and friends and appreciate the simple moments that help me slow down, reconnect and recharge.

I also enjoy getting together with the people I love, whether that's sharing a meal, celebrating life's milestones or simply having a good catch-up. I believe these moments of connection remind us of the importance of relationships, balance and making space for ourselves.

Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision, and it's important that you find someone who feels like the right fit for you. If you feel my approach resonates with you, I'd be happy to answer any questions and discuss how we might work together.
